This is a fantastic pub. I have been there many times and I have always been welcomed. The food is to a very high standard and there is always a range of food on the menu. Dogs are also welcome and the staff are always helpful.

My wife and I recently had the reception for our wedding at the pub (15th August 2009). Iain and his staff did a fantastic job and helped really make the day perfect.
By the time we saw Iain it was only 3 -4 weeks before the day and we were somewhat stressed to say the least. When we met Iain he allayed all our fears and was consummately professional. He had very good suggestions and was extremely flexible and helpful.
Iain really saved the day. He is an excellent pub landlord and I felt it important to bring this to your attention. I would also mention the chef did a great job and produced a very high standard of food, well beyond our expectations.
