Festive feasting and drink parties on the Common
Hannah and the team look forward to welcoming you.
Our winter menus are all about hearty British classics, indulgent seasonal dishes and proper comfort food made with the best local produce. Expect succulent steaks, beautifully cooked fish and rich, warming plates made for long lunches, cosy dinners and cold evenings by the Thames. And coming soon: our homemade barrel-aged Negronis — bold, warming and well worth settling in for.
Planning a Christmas party in Wimbledon? Our cosy, wonderfully wonky pub has been bringing people together for festive celebrations since 1881, so it’s fair to say we know a thing or two about Christmas.
Expect hearty festive menus, mulled wine, plenty of pub cheer and a seriously good Christmas tree setting the scene for office parties, family feasts and catch-ups with your favourite people.
Choose your date, gather the gang and let Hannah and the team take care of the details, so all you need to do is turn up hungry and ready to celebrate.
Word’s getting around (faster than you can say “giant Yorkie”) that we serve the Sunday roast in Wimbledon, and after a blustery walk across the Common, nothing beats settling in for a Billet-style, belt-loosening feast.
Close the week the wonderful way: a day of rest for you, and a day of full-flavors and don’t-mind-if-I-do indulgence for us. Our Sunday roasts are dream about them later, piled high with everything goodness, with slow-roasted meats, sky-reaching Yorkshire puddings, can’t get enough gravy, pass-around-the-table sides, and a heart warming crumble wrapped in velvety custard to finish, all topped off with a why-don’t-we-do-this-every-Sunday pint by our roaring fire.
Catch the Autumn Nations live on our screens at the Crooked Billet, our cosy pub on Wimbledon Common, with big tackles on screen, proper pub food on the table and a pint never too far away.
Settle in for every scrum, try and last-minute kick with hearty seasonal dishes, half-time bites and plenty of reviving tipples to keep you cheering.
Round up the rugby crowd, head to Wimbledon Common and make a proper match day of it.
Enjoy a taste of winter with a rich-and-rustic cocktail in our fireside corners (the sort of snug spot you’ll never want to leave) is the ultimate way to settle into your cosy evening on the Common. We’re all about crafted-to-perfection pours, and nothing beats our deeply roasted, expertly shaken Espresso Martini (one sip, and you’ll see why it’s become a firm favourite).
We’re just as head-over-heels for your four-legged pals as you are, which makes our pub the ultimate post-walk pit stop for both you and your best furry pal. Whether you’ve wandered through leaf-covered Wimbledon Common or browsed or local small business shops, we’ve got everything to make tails wag – complimentary treats, belly rubs, and even canine IPA (aka water, served in style).
Give us a follow on Insta and become a proper Billet Buddy – your front-row-pass to all things cosy cornered, pint-in-hand, roast-filled pub life (plus the odd behind-the-scenes, staff-pick, mid-pint selfie). It’s the easiest way to stay in the loop (think weekend plans, limited-edition specials and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments) without lifting more than a thumb.
